Give your child a fun, creative and memorable school holiday at Wonderland Ceramics.
Our specialist art camp gives children aged 6 to 12 the opportunity to explore pottery, painting, textiles, mosaics and a wide range of other creative activities in our friendly studio near Victoria Park.
Children will enjoy a varied programme of projects using different materials and techniques. They will be encouraged to experiment, develop their confidence, learn new creative skills and make pieces they are proud to take home.
Camp Activities
Activities will vary throughout the week and may include:
- Ceramic painting
- Clay modelling and hand-building
- Pottery decorating and glazing
- Mosaic making
- Textile art and fabric decoration
- Painting and drawing
- Collage and mixed-media projects
- Jewellery and accessory making
- Seasonal crafts
- Group creative projects
Each day will offer a different mix of activities.
Some ceramic pieces will need to be glazed and fired after the camp. We will contact you when they are ready for collection.
Ages
Suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years.
Activities will be adapted to suit different ages and abilities, and children will be grouped by age wherever possible.
Camp Times
9:00am–5:00pm
Early drop-off and late collection may be available as optional extras, subject to availability.
Prices
£65 per day
£295 for the full five-day week
The price includes tuition, pottery, clay, art materials, glazing and kiln firing.
Spaces are limited to ensure children receive plenty of guidance and attention.
What to Bring
Please bring:
- A packed lunch
- A refillable water bottle
- A small snack
- A sun hat
- Sunscreen
- Comfortable clothes that can get messy
Please clearly label all belongings with your child’s name.
We are unable to refrigerate or heat packed lunches, so please provide food that can be safely stored in a lunch bag.
Please do not bring food containing nuts.
Allergies, Medical Information and Additional Needs
Please provide full details of any allergies, medical conditions, additional needs or medication when booking.
Any medication must be clearly labelled and handed directly to a member of staff at drop-off.
Parents and guardians must ensure that emergency contact details are accurate and that they remain contactable during camp hours.
Drop-Off and Collection
Children must be dropped off and collected promptly by an authorised adult.
Please let us know in writing if someone different will be collecting your child.
Children will not be allowed to leave the studio alone unless this has been agreed in writing in advance.
Late collection may incur an additional charge.
Photographs and Videos
We may take photographs and short videos during the camp for use on the Wonderland Ceramics website, social media and other marketing materials.
If you do not want your child to be photographed or filmed, please let us know in writing before the camp begins.
Clothing
Please send children in comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
Art and pottery activities can be messy, and although aprons may be provided, we cannot accept responsibility for stains or damage to clothing.
Behaviour and Safety
Children must follow the studio’s safety rules and behave respectfully towards staff, other children, equipment and artwork.
We reserve the right to contact a parent or guardian if a child’s behaviour is unsafe or significantly disruptive.
Activities may change depending on the group, materials available, staffing and the weather.
Cancellations
Camp bookings are subject to our cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Places are limited, and staffing and materials are arranged in advance. Please check your dates carefully before booking.
